KITAS Cancellation (EPO and ERP)

Foreigners who already held KITAS in Indonesia and would like to leave the country, change jobs, or change their KITAS type will be obligated to cancel their previous KITAS. This cancellation procedure is done by applying for Exit Permit Only (EPO) and ERP (Exit Re-Entry Permit). Exit Permit Only (EPO) in Indonesia

Exit Permit Only (EPO) is a permit issued by the Indonesian government that allows a foreigner who previously held an Izin Tinggal Sementara (ITAS) to leave Indonesia and not return. In other cases,the issuance of EPO as ITAS cancellation can also be used to clear the legal bond between the holder and their former employer by submitting the necessary documents to the authorities.

Requirements:

  1. Original and copy of applicant’s passport
  2. Return ticket
  3. Copy of KITAS
  4. Original and copy of RPTKA, DKPTKA and IMTA notification, DPKK (if the applicant is a working KITAS holder)
  5. Copy of Marriage Certificate and Birth Certificate (for dependant KITAS holder)
  6. Copy of ID Card (KTP), Family Card (KK) of the applicant
  7. Copy of Rekom, Deed of Establishment, and Business ID Number (is the applicant is an investor KITAS holder)
  8. Copy of ID Card (KTP), Passport, and KITAS of HR Manager or Director of the applicant’s employer
  9. Copy of Akta Perjanjian Pengurusan Keimigrasian (Power of Attorney Letter) between applicant and the third party mandated to help with the registration process
  10. Valid original and copy of KITAP (if the applicant is a KITAP holder)
  11. Copy of SKTT
  12. MERP KITAS Sticker in passport

Registration Procedure:

There are several procedures that must be followed in order to obtain an EPO. First, you need to double check all the required documents. Make sure no document is missing to ensure the registration goes smoothly. Second, the documents you already prepared will be submitted to the Indonesian Immigration Office. Third, the documents you submitted will be verified by the Immigration to check their authenticity. After everything is verified, your EPO will be issued in the form of a stamp on your passport.

Exit Re-entry Permit (ERP) in Indonesia

ERP is a permit issued by the Indonesian government that allows foreigners to exit and re-enter the country. Usually, ERP is issued for foreigners who have already left Indonesia and are currently located abroad. 

Requirements:

  1. Scan of valid Passport and  Departure Stamp (Triangle Stamp)
  2. Return Ticket
  3. Copy of KITAS
  4. Copy of RPTKA, DKPTKA and IMTA notification, DPKK (if the applicant is a working KITAS holder)
  5. Copy of Marriage Certificate and Birth Certificate (if the applicant is a dependant KITAS holder)
  6. Copy of ID Card (KTP), Family Card (KK), and Marriage Certificate (sponsored by Indonesian citizen)
  7. Copy of Rekom, Decree of Establishment, and Business ID Number/NIB (if the applicant is an investor KITAS holder)
  8. Copy of ID Card/Passport/KITAS of HR Manager or Director of the applicant’s employer
  9. Copy of Copy of Akta Perjanjian Pengurusan Keimigrasian (Power of Attorney Letter) the applicant and the third party mandated to help with the registration process
